Eleven Madison Park – NYC – Tasting menu for my 34th birthday

I can’t even believe it but I only heard about Eleven Madison Park within the last year. Obviously after hearing about it and seeing some pictures from it I knew I had to go. So 28 days ago I called up and made a reservation for tonight, the night before my 34th birthday.  They only take reservations 28 days in advance, so I set an alarm and called when it went off, even though I was in the middle of sample sale madness at work. The effort I put in to make the resrevation for the date and time I wanted was well worth it.

The service here is amazing. Everyone is very friendly, and knows every aspect of ever dish.  It is a beautiful restaurant and the staff is extremely knowledgable and accommodating.  Our main man, Mathew, was awesome.

Describing and seeing the pictures doesn’t really do the food and place justice, so I am not going to say much other than putting the captions and a little about them. You will really just have to go there yourself and experience it all for yourself.  I mostly loved all the dishes, but here are a few of my favorite dishes out of the 14 or so that we had. Please see some blurbs about them in the picture captions.

Tomato puree, pickled shallot, garlic croutons and tomato water. For Luis: Marinated in, i believe cognac?, ginger chutney and topped with a pickled peach and a peach skin crisp.   We were also served, but not shown in the pic, their house made croissants served with butter, pork fat infused butter and sea salt from Amaganset

I loved this place and suggest you check it out for yourself.  You can live vicariously through my descriptions and pictures, but nothing compares to actually going there.  They are located at 11 Madison Ave in NYC.  Call  212.889.0905 to make reservations, but only 28 days out.
