It was so beautiful here. It felt so spiritual. A temple for all religions. This group of girls on the right were about the 7th group of people to ask to take a picture with me, so I asked if I could take a photo of them :) At least people started to ask instead of sneakily trying to take pictures of me when I wasn’t looking. I thought I was paranoid, but they really were! I couldn’t get a straight answer as to why really, but I got “because your personality is greater than mine”, “because you are our guest”, and this last group of girls came up smiling and giggling and started saying “you’re so beautiful”. Not sure which was the truth or what, but apparently my Indian friends back home told me it is because they probably thought I was a celebrity and that people in India are not used to seeing people with my skin tone, or that wear lipstick, or shorts and skirts for that matter. My friend/coworker, Ramya, said when she was a kid in India she was always in awe when she would see Americans.</image:title><image:caption>The Lotus Temple, Bahai Temple. It was so beautiful here.
